 General and Construction Industry Course

OBJECTIVES

The 30-hour General Industry Course is intended to provide a variety of training to workers with some safety responsibility. Training emphasizes on hazard identification, avoidance, control and prevention, as well as OSHA standards.

  9. Permit-To Work system
  10. Lockout / Tag out
  11. Machine Guarding
  12. Welding, Cutting, and Brazing
  13. Scaffolds and Fall Protection
  14. Powered Industrial Vehicle
  15. Cranes, Derricks, Hoists, Elevators, & Conveyors
  16. Ergonomics
  17. Excavations
  18. Heath Hazards in construction Teach noise, hazard communication, and crystalline silica or any other construction health hazard
  19. Exit Routes, Emergency Action Plans,
  20. Fire Prevention and Protection.
